Bär & Karrer Advises Gonet and Arab
Bank Switzerland Group on the
Acquisition and Subsequent Merger with
ONE swiss bank

Following the announcement of the transaction in November 2024 and the approval of the project by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), Gonet & Cie SA, a Swiss private bank founded in Geneva in 1845, has completed the acquisition and subsequent merger by absorption of ONE swiss bank SA, a Swiss private bank with offices in Geneva, Lugano and Zurich, and a subsidiary in Dubai. The newly formed entity, operating under the single brand name "Gonet" within the Arab Bank Switzerland Group, manages nearly CHF 12 billion in assets, with a particularly strong presence in Switzerland, and now provides an expanded range of products and services for private and institutional clients.

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Gonet and Arab Bank Switzerland Group throughout the acquisition and merger process.
