Migration in Switzerland

On 18 March 2026, UBS successfully completed the migration of all former Credit Suisse clients to the UBS infrastructure and products globally, another key milestone enabling the final phase of the complex integration of the former Credit Suisse group into the UBS group intended to be completed by the end of 2026.

With the successful conclusion of the client migration in Switzerland, UBS transferred around 1.2 million clients globally as a further step in the combination of the two global systemically important Swiss banks.

Since the merger of Credit Suisse Group AG with UBS Group AG in March 2023, the integration of the former Credit Suisse group has been guided by a sequenced plan, with various significant milestones – including in particular the parent bank merger of UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG, the Swiss bank merger of UBS Switzerland AG and Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG and the mergers of service companies reached in summer 2025.

Bär & Karrer acts as lead legal advisor to UBS in connection with the client migration in Switzerland.
