Bär & Karrer Advised China Molybdenum
Co. (CMOC) in the Acquisition of all the
Shares in IXM B.V. (formerly Louis
Dreyfus Company Metals B.V.) from New
Silk Road Commodities Limited

On December 4, 2018, CMOC Limited (a subsidiary of China Molybdenum Co., Ltd. listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Engages, in particular, in the business of mining and processing of metals) and New Silk Road Commodities Limited agreed on the sale of all shares in IXM B.V. (formerly Louis Dreyfus Company Metals B.V. Engages, in particular, in the metal trading business) to CMOC Limited. The transaction was closed on July 24, 2019.

The Acquisition allows China Molybdenum Co. to effectively expand its business scope in the metal trading business, which will become an important part of its activities. The Acquisition will optimize the resource allocation and strategic decision-making of China Molybdenum Co. and will improve its international competitiveness and influence in the industry.
