Frédéric Bétrisey first provided a reminder of the evolution of case law on retrocessions, and the extension of the scope of the relevant regulations over the years. He also addressed the criminal law implications of a breach of the relevant rules and the consequences from the perspective of the prevention of money laundering. He described the rules applicable to double dipping and compared the application of such rules with the retrocession aspects.
