At the Insights Luncheon held at Bär & Karrer’s Basel office, Dr. Christian Kunz and Dr. Katharina Cardon spoke about the key challenges in the area of data security, as well as the various reporting obligations that companies must comply with following a cyberattack. The focus was on the requirements of the FADP and the GDPR regarding technical and organizational measures, the various types of data security breaches, and the reporting obligations to data protection authorities, FINMA, the Federal Office for Cybersecurity (BACS), and other agencies.
