Bär & Karrer Elects Ruth Bloch-Riemer, Daniel Raun and Philippe Seiler to Partner

Bär & Karrer has announced the election of Ruth Bloch-Riemer, Daniel Raun and Philippe Seiler to the firm's partnership. The appointment is effective as of 1 January 2019.

Ruth Bloch-Riemer studied law at the Universities of Zurich and Geneva and graduated in 2006 (lic. iur.). After her bar admission in 2010 and joining Bär & Karrer in 2011 as an associate, she obtained a doctorate (Dr. iur.) in international tax law from the University of Berne in 2012. Since 2014, Ruth Bloch-Riemer is a certified tax expert. Her practice focuses on domestic and international tax law where she specializes in private client-related topics as well as compensation and benefits and social security and pension questions. In her areas of expertise, Ruth Bloch-Riemer regularly lectures and publishes in domestic and international forums.

Daniel Raun studied law at the University of Basel (lic. iur.) and first joined Bär & Karrer as a trainee in 2008. He was admitted to the bar in 2010 and obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of New South Wales in 2013. Daniel Raun specializes in capital markets law, M&A transactions as well as general contract, corporate and commercial law and regularly advises listed companies on corporate and regulatory matters.

Philippe Seiler graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 2008. From 2007 until 2009 he worked as research and teaching assistant and in 2010 he joined Bär & Karrer as a trainee. In 2011, Philippe Seiler obtained his doctorate from the University of St. Gallen and in 2012 he was admitted to the Zurich bar. Philippe Seiler graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Chicago. His practice focuses on international and domestic mergers & acquisitions. Furthermore, he advises clients on regulatory matters relating to life science and health care law.
