Dr. Angelica M. Schwarz's practice focuses on all aspects of national and international corporate tax law and tax planning for Swiss and foreign private clients.
Angelica Schwarz regularly publishes and speaks at conferences on tax matters with a special focus on topics dealing with data, digitalization, innovation and technology. She wrote her doctoral thesis about the accounting and tax treatment of data with a particular focus on transfer pricing aspects. She has been elected to participate as a consortium member in the research project "Future Data Assets", an initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy which focuses on the monetary valuation of corporate data capital. In addition, she has been elected to participate in the standardization committee of The Association of German Engineers (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure – VDI), a German organization promoting the advancement of technology and representing the interests of engineers and engineering businesses in Germany. In this working group, Angelica Schwarz is supporting research, development and establishment of international, standardized guidelines, inter alia, focusing on the questions based on which criteria data may be listed on the balance sheet as a business asset and how data can be valued.
